Gareth Murray Jr.
Gareth is responsible for the overall leadership of the church. During Sunday services Gareth works hard to give everyone in attendance a clear vision for how to start applying the life-changing principles of the gospel first thing Monday morning. For fun he enjoys amusement parks, playing music, reading, and hanging out at home.
Gareth is a native of Silver Spring, MD. He graduated from Penn State University with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and received the M.Th. in Biblical Studies from Spurgeon's College in London, England. Gareth has spent several years overseas serving communities across Europe, Africa, and Asia as a teacher, pastor, and musical artist - and he brings these experiences with him in building a multicultural ministry here at Hillendale.
Gareth serves on the faculty of the John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Arlington as the Director of their School of Ministry. He also serves the Baptist World Alliance as a member of their Commission on Theological Education. His wife Tara is a lawyer and is passionate about social justice. They live in Manassas with their son and two daughters.
David is responsible for leading Hillendale's vibrant Hispanic ministry (Hillendale en Español). David is known for his delightful sense of humor and caring heart. He enjoys training leaders for the next generation as well as traveling and serving in short-term missions. He and his wife Carolina live in Springfield with their three daughters.
